Gladly. I just think it’s a pot and kettle thing for people to whine about the Libby commutation when Clinton pardoned far more people–that’s pardoned–not commuted. Here’s the link again: http://www.usdoj.gov/pardon/clintonpardon_grants.htm

It’s a 23 page alpha order docket list.

All Libby did was take the fall for Richard Armitage, who was the person who first mentioned Plame’s name. Not that I think it really matters anyway. It doesn’t seem to me that any “outing” was done inasmuch as Plame wasn’t covert to begin with. I think this was all a retirement plan for Plame and Wilson. Book and movie deals. Like I said earlier, politics is just show business for homely people.

Most of Clinton’s pardons fall into the long-established tradition of clearing someone’s record after they’d served their sentence. Bush has establised (and earned) a reputation for not pardoning as many people as Clinton, which makes this stand out.

And Valerie Wilson (she goes by her married name most of the time; using her maiden name is supposed to make her look like one of those nasty modern women) was a major player in a CIA cover corporation: outing her — and it was an outing — blew literally dozens of covers. Pure treason.

The “inside politics” meme is going around, too. There’s another word for that: Whistleblower. Joe Wilson did what he was asked to do, then saw the results abused for incredibly bad reasons, and he blew the whistle on it.

Yeah, Libby’s taking the fall: there’s lots people he’s covering for, and ultimately he’ll get rewarded. Look at the careers of the Iran-Contra crew, or the Watergate Crew: Republicans take care of their fallen heroes.

    …and so do the Dems.
