I did it!

I am now the proud owner of a Bachelor of Arts degree in music and educational psychology.
If you squint real hard you can see that it says Magna Cum Laude on it.   :)

When self-help isn’t

Helpful, that is.  As I often do when I’m teetering on the edge of the darkness, I’ve been exploring mental health bulletin boards and support groups this week.  I’m not sure exactly what I’m looking for, but I can’t seem to find it, no matter where I seek.
What I’m discovering is a lot of groups [...]

Back home

It looks like the crisis is over, at least for now.  Dad made substantial improvement and was transferred to a rehab hospital for respiratory therapy, so I flew back home Sunday night.  I’m exhausted, and, I think, a little depressed, not wanting to do anything but sleep.

Away from home

Just a quick update to say I haven’t abandoned you all.  My dad is in the hospital, so I’m in Sioux Falls, South Dakota  being emotional support.  Julie is arriving tomorrow afternoon to see him, too.  If everything goes as expected  I’ll be back home on Monday.  If not, we’ll see.
Positive thoughts are much appreciated.

California: WE REALLY PISS YOU OFF, DON’T WE?
Colorado: WHERE PROACTIVE HOLISTICISM EMPOWERS INTROSPECTIVE PERSONHOOD.
Connecticut: FIRST IN LYME [...]

Huh?

Now what?

As of 5 pm tomorrow night, I’m done with school. It doesn’t feel real yet, and probably won’t for awhile – I’ve wanted this for so long and never believed I’d ever be able to do it. Now, one year after I started, I have.
To celebrate, I’m in Tacoma visiting Meredith for the [...]
