Award and meme

Thanks to Sherry Chandler for the Kreativ Blogger Award! To follow tradition I’m to choose 7 things I like.  I’m sure mine are far more mundane than the choices of others so honored, but what the heck.

  1. Phone calls and Skype chats with my kids.
  2. Romantic suspense novels that make me believe, even for a little while,  in the magic of love and happy endings.  Ie., Jayne Anne Krentz, Running Hot.
  3. Domaine Ste. Michelle Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine (enjoying a glass right now).
  4. My college diploma.
  5. Really bad monster movies like Lake Placid 2.
  6. Playing my mountain dulcimer
  7. Knowing that as I’m finally falling asleep my friends in other time zones are awakening, taking over the job of keeping the world turning so that I  can rest.

Now to pass the award on.  Play or not, as you choose.

  1. Ahistoricality
  2. Pocahontas County Fare
  3. Sierra Sage
  4. Intersection of Fiction and Reality
  5. Decrepit Old Fool
  6. Writing as Jo(e)
  7. Parts -n- Pieces

Oh I love that list! Not a mundanity in it.

And here I am awake, keeping the world turning.  (Quote)

I didn’t know you played mountain dulcimer: I love that sound. David Massengill‘s my favorite, but there are a couple of other people who do more traditional stuff with it who I’ve heard, too.

I’ll take the meme under advisement: I’m finishing up grades today, so I’ll be a little less stressed (and less focused) now….  (Quote)

Thanks, Sherry. When I have trouble sleeping it really does help to tell myself that my friends are awake and watching things. Silly, but true.  (Quote)

Congrats on making it to the end of the semester, A! You’re quick on getting your grades done, too. I know your students will appreciate that.

I play mostly traditional music on the dulcimer, but the things that David Massengill plays are beautiful. I’m not good enough to do that yet, but maybe someday.  (Quote)

Wow, Terry, thanks! I haven’t felt very creative for quite some time–hope this spurs me on.  (Quote)
